GET CREATIVE – PLAY FREESTYLE BOULE WITH CROSSBOCCIA!

Crossboccia is the name of the three-dimensional trend sport in which everything can be included: Whether in the apartment or the subway station, any place can become an arena - there are no limits to creativity. Crossboccia is based on the basic idea of boccia and petanque, which is one of the oldest sports in the world. The cross variant is not played with metal balls like the usual boccia and boules game. A special feature are the balls, which are made of robust material and filled with granules.

SINGLE PLAYER RULES:

SINGLE PLAYER RULES:

Each player gets three identical game balls. A player is chosen (or randomly selected) to throw the marker from any starting point. All other players then play from the same point. The marker can be thrown anywhere—there is no set playing field. The player who threw the marker starts. After their first ball is thrown, the remaining players take turns throwing one ball each. The player whose ball lands farthest from the marker then throws their second and third balls. The other players do the same in order of distance from the marker. The team whose ball is farthest from the marker throws next. Following a set order, all team members attempt to throw their balls as close as possible. Once a team gets a ball closer to the marker than the opponent, the opposing team takes the next turn. This continues until every player has thrown both of their balls.

TEAM RULES:

TEAM RULES:

Each team gets six identical game balls, evenly distributed among three team members. A draw determines which team starts. A player from the starting team throws the marker from any chosen point. The same player then tries to place their first ball as close to the marker as possible. Then, a player from the opposing team does the same. The team whose ball is farthest from the marker throws next. Following a set order, all team members attempt to throw their balls as close as possible. Once a team gets a ball closer to the marker than the opponent, the opposing team takes the next turn. This continues until every player has thrown both of their balls.

SCORING THE THROWS

SCORING THE THROWS

Each game ball that is closer to the marker than any of the opponent's balls scores one point (the ball is counted, including its label). If multiple game balls from different players are at the same distance from the marker or touching it, all are counted. If a game ball rests at least halfway on top of an opponent's ball, this is a "Kill", and the opponent’s ball does not count. If a player deliberately plays the marker off an object (like a wall), they must announce it beforehand if they want all players to follow the same challenge. Players can also create their own throwing rules, such as requiring all players to throw their ball backward over their shoulder for that round. If a player does not follow the declared challenge, their throw does not count.

COMBOS, ROUND END & POINTS

COMBOS, ROUND END & POINTS

Want to score faster? Combos are just what you need! Two balls touching each other and closer to the marker than an opponent’s ball = 3 points Three balls touching each other and closer to the marker than an opponent’s ball = 6 points Combos count even in a draw. At the end of all throws, points are added up. The player with the highest score starts the next round by throwing the marker to a new location. If multiple players have balls equally distant from the marker in a round, it’s a "Draw", and all receive their points—including for Kills & Combos. The player who started the previous round also starts the next one. A set ends when a player reaches 13 points, but they must win by at least 2 points (e.g., 11-13 or 12-14). The game is won when a player wins two sets. Let the Crossboccia® games begin!

DURABLE & RELIABLE BALLS

DURABLE & RELIABLE BALLS

For a creative Crossboccia® match, you need balls that can handle a lot. That’s why Crossboccia® has developed extremely durable game balls with a double-layered fabric system and reinforced seams. These balls are not only robust but also have extra features that might not be immediately obvious. For example, the balls bounce on water, allowing players to use the water’s surface as a rebound. Additionally, the balls are "markable," meaning they have a label that players can customize. And if they get dirty, they can easily be hand-washed.
